Safes Opened, Then Put Back To Work
A safe that will not open is a particularly frustrating problem: the more valuable the contents, the harder it is to walk away and deal with later.
Unlock Heroes opens domestic and commercial safes across Gauteng & Limpopo — and, just as importantly, repairs or replaces the lock afterwards so you are not left with an expensive steel box you cannot use.
Safes We Work On
- Digital and keypad safe opening
- Key-operated and dual-lock safes
- Lost combination recovery
- Safe lock repair and replacement
- Keypads that have gone dead or unresponsive
- Safes where the override key has been lost

Common Reasons A Safe Stops Opening
- The code was changed and then forgotten, or never written down
- Batteries behind the keypad have gone flat
- The override key has been lost, or was never handed over
- The lock mechanism itself has failed or seized
- The safe came with a property or a business and nobody has the code
Several of those are far simpler to resolve than they feel at the time. A flat battery in particular looks exactly like a broken safe from the outside, which is why it is always worth mentioning how the keypad is behaving when you call.

How We Approach It
The method depends entirely on the safe. Where a unit can be opened non-destructively it will be, because that keeps the safe usable and the cost down. Where the lock has genuinely failed, opening may involve work on the lock itself — and in that case we will explain what is involved, and what putting it right afterwards means, before going ahead.

Business & Commercial Safes
Drop safes, deposit safes and back-office units in shops and offices are routine work for us. Because they usually hold takings, we can work outside trading hours so the shop does not have to stop. See commercial security for the wider business services.
Proof Of Entitlement
We ask for proof that the safe is yours, or that you are entitled to have it opened, before starting. Given what safes are for, that safeguard exists for your benefit as much as ours.
